Anne Kreft – Flute
Anne Kreft began studying music at four and flute at eleven. Anne graduated from the University of Michigan, where she was awarded the Ruth C. Merril Dana Scholarship and was a finalist in the University Concerto Competition. She has done graduate work at the New England Conservatory. Anne holds a Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University where she studied with Peter Middleton. Former teachers include Donna Milanovich, Fenwick Smith, Judith Bentley, and Keith Bryan.

Masterclasses were with William Bennett, Tadeu Coelho, Harvey Solberger, and James Galway. Anne has toured Japan with the Valley Woodwind Quintet and has frequently appeared as a featured artist with the New Philharmonic. She actively freelances in the Chicago area and currently performs with the DuPage Opera Theatre and the New Philharmonic. She is on the wind faculty College of DuPage and Illinois Benedictine University.

Ann Hendrickson Griffin – Cello
Ann Hendrickson Griffin began her cello studies at the age of eleven. She earned her Bachelor and Masters of Music degrees at Roosevelt University in Chicago where she studied with Karl Fruh. Further studies included coaching with Frank Miller, the former CSO principal cellist. At the Academie Internationale in Nice, France, Ann studied with Maurice Gendron and earned the Certificat de Stage.

Ann has performed in many of the great concert halls in Europe including Frankfurt, Geneva, and Vienna. She has performed with many Chicago area ensembles including the Chicago String Ensemble, Chicago Opera Theatre, Symphony II, and the American Ballet Theater. Currently, Ann is principal cellist with the Chicago Sinfonietta where she has been a member since its inception. She is a featured soloist on the Sinfonietta's CD Epitaph, conducted by Paul Freeman. Ann maintains a private teaching studio at her home in Wheaton.

Mara Gallagher – Violin
Mara Gallagher started her violin studies at age five as a Suzuki student. As a teenager, she was a three-time winner of the La Crosse Youth Symphony Concerto Competition and a finalist in the Minnesota Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. While there, Mara played with the Notre Dame Chamber Orchestra, the Undergraduate String Quartet, and the South Bend Symphony. Her teachers have included Mark Bjork and Laura Klugherz. She has played chamber music at the Blossom Music Festival and has participated in summer seminars at the University of Wisconsin, Indiana University, and the Eastman School of Music. Mara freelances in the Chicago area. Currently, she performs with the New Philharmonic and the DuPage Opera Theatre while maintaining a private violin studio at her home in Naperville.
