Designed by architect Jarvis Hunt, Joliet's Union Station was originally built in 1912. A two-year renovation of Union Station by the City of Joliet began in 1989 and was completed in 1991. Today, the Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station is available for private events and is the perfect location for weddings or corporate events, with accommodations for up to 350 guests. The Grand Ballroom features stunning classic architecture with crystal chandeliers and forty-five foot ceilings. A National Historic Building featuring beautiful architecture, a stunning marble staircase and a dramatic forty-five foot ceiling rotunda.
